| Local storm spotters
are an intregal part of the National Weather Service (NWS)
severe weather reporting system. Since radar cannot
replace eye witness reports, local citizen participation
in reporting weather conditions is essential to ensure
the timely issue of warnings. For information on what and
how to report weather events, visit the NWS Storm
Spotting page.
For Storm Spotter training in your area visit the NWS
Spotter Training 2007
calendar. |
